Antonio Miriametro is an electronic technician at the Department of Physics of the University of Rome "La Sapienza". He is highly committed to his job, he likes analog and digital electronics (preferably the digital one), as well as computer science. His activity involves the technical collaboration with research projects, by developing new electronic hardware and software designs, as well as complicatd automation systems. He is also in charge of maintaining and repairing the electronic and opto-mechanics equipment used in the research laboratories working on condensed matter, optical/electronic specroscopies and photonics. He is specialist in L.A.S.E.R systems.
From 1993 to 2001, he participated in seven Antarctic campaigns, as electronic manager at O.A.S.I. (Submillimetric Infrared Antarctic Observatory) at the Italian base "Baia Terra Nova" (now "Mario Zucchelli" 74 ° 41 '42 "South and 164 ° 05 '58" East). His last Antarctic campaign was in 2007 at the Dome Concordia Station (75°07'S 123°22'E) on the Antarctic plateau at 3250 meters above m.s.l. for the COCHISE project (Cosmological Observations at Concordia with High-sensitivity Instrument for Source Extraction).
Presently, he provides technical assistance within various European projects in the Physics Department.
